This gives you the opportunity to design your home exactly the way you want it from a clean sheet of paper. Our in house design team can design a home that is totally unique to your requirements and can do so free of charge and without obligation. Whether your ideas are based on one of our pre-designed homes or from scratch our experienced designers can create a design to suit your site, your budget, your life.
All you have to do is send us some essentials. A copy of your site plan (with orientation bearing and size) along with your accommodation ‘wish list’ and an idea of your overall build budget is enough to start turning your dreams into reality.
We can also design and supply a timber frame kit based on your own architects design. If you already have drawings from an architect you can simply send them to us for a ‘no obligation’ free quote.

When designing your new home it is essential that the following are taken into consideration. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Plan the house to maximise on natural solar gain. Where ever practical, the most commonly used rooms in a home should be designed to face south/south-south west in order to maximise solar gain.
- Design the house to ensure that windows to the north are kept to a minimum. Try to avoid excessively large windows unless there are good reasons such as good views.
- Design the house so that it has good day lighting so as to reduce energy to light the home.
- Alternative energy sources should be considered to reduce fossil fuel energy consumption. Examples include, ground source heat pumps, air to water heat pumps, solar panels, wood (pallet or log) burning stoves and efficient boilers.
- Consider whether to have underfloor heating or a conventional radiator system.
- Include high efficiency condensing boiler.
- Insulation should be designed at the highest practical level in the external walls and roof, and certainly in excess of the statutory requirements.
- Good construction practice to ensure that the home is air tight.
- The potential for heat recovery systems and various energy management tools.
- Effective landscaping to provide protection from the prevailing wind.
