Timber Frame Demo Day

Join Fleming Homes and Carpenter Oak to understand the benefits of self-building with timber frame

Saturday 4th May 2019
9.30am – 4pm
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre, Swindon

What to expect from our Self-Build Demo Day
Our free to attend timber frame demo day has been designed to provide you with everything you need to know when it comes to self-building with timber frame.

Together, experts from Fleming Homes and Carpenter Oak will demonstrate how timber frame and oak frame work as structural systems. Discover how they are handcrafted, manufactured and erected. You’ll also learn how, when combined, they can work in harmony to deliver a stunning traditional oak frame with all the thermal efficiency of a new build home.

Who should attend?
Self-builders looking to understand the benefits of choosing self-build timber frame and oak frame as a structural system for a new build house.

Architects seeking to increase their knowledge of timber frame will also find the content valuable.

Please note the day is not suitable for those undertaking extension or renovation projects.

What should you expect to take away at the end of the day?
Lots of practical information designed to help you make an informed decision on what structural system is right for your new build home (we recognise that it may not be timber frame!)

Speaking to other self-builders can also be a helpful learning experience, so time will be available to network with others facing and overcoming the same self-build challenges that you are. A programme outline is detailed below.

How much does it cost?
Places on our Timber Frame Demo Day are free of charge. Lunch and refreshments are included.

How do you book?
Please email enquiries@fleminghomes.co.uk to secure your place providing the first name and last name of all attendees in your party, along with a contact telephone number.
